Our Horizon sexual violence services offer support to women and men who have been victims of rape, sexual violence or childhood sexual abuse

Horizon is a project by Cyfannol Women’s Aid, which is an independent local charity providing services and support throughout Torfaen, Monmouthshire and Blaenau Gwent to people experiencing Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence.

Horizon Sexual Violence Services are funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent, and Welsh Government.

Specialist support

We support anyone who has experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. Our ISVA has received specialist training to support women, men, children, older people, and people experiencing multiple disadvantage, including mental health and substance misuse.

Adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse

For 80% of the people we work with, their abuse started in childhood. We understand the barriers individuals face when disclosing such traumatic events.

Intimate partner sexual violence

We have been supporting victims of intimate partner sexual violence for 40 years. We recognise that all abuse thrives on secrecy and that threats and bribes are often used to maintain compliance.

Exploited women

Through our Exploitation project, we have a specialist knowledge and understanding of the barriers faced by adults and young people who are currently, or are at risk of, experiencing sexual or financial exploitation.
