In October 2020, Horizon launched their first online Coffee Morning.
While Covid prevented us from holding our Peer Support sessions at our venues across Gwent, the idea of an online Coffee Morning was born and has since brought 38 individuals together, meeting our Peer Supporters and our Participation & Outreach Worker each Monday morning.
This safe, online space has enabled people to make connections with those who have also experienced sexual violence and abuse at some point in their lives.
The sessions are informal and operate on an “as and when” basis of when you can attend.
It has been a great gateway to finding out about all our services within Horizon, as well as hosting one off guests and information sessions.
The sessions allow people to talk, message in the chat option or just listen to others as they wish.
Feedback has been that individuals have felt connected, understood and that the sessions have given them structure to their week.
We understand that a Monday morning can be difficult for some (if working for example) so we will be launching an evening equivalent.
Open to both male and female participants, the weekly online evening sessions start Monday 7th June 6pm-7:30pm
Please contact us for the zoom link if you would like to join these sessions, or to find out more information on Horizon services.
